Ash Wednesday & Taize

February 14 at 7 p.m. in our Sanctuary

We begin this season of Lent with our Ash Wednesday service. We will sing the music of Taize without musical accompaniment.

Ash Wednesday begins the process of slowing down, to sit with our impermanence and to think of what we might let go of in these next 40 days. Tomorrow’s service provides an opportunity to stand square with the reality that in the permanence of life we do not deny our mortality, and to understand that we are given the chance to let go of all things that make us die a little every day to clear a way for the new life, the resurrection, that is Easter.

We hope you will join us.

8:30 a.m. Quiet Reflective Service

February 25, 2018
08:30 AM / 09:30 AM

The early morning service (a more contemplative tone) continues!! But we have changed the time from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.  The liturgy for the 8:30 a.m. service will be similar to the 10:30 a.m. celebration with the same sermon and texts, and Communion on the first Sunday of the month. The 8:30 a.m. service will not have musicians, except on rare occasion, with longer spaces for silence and reflection built into the flow of the service. There will not be Fellowship Time afterwards unless that evolves on its own.
