2020.12.14 Note from Curran

Greetings Beloved Community,

Congratulations on a wonderful Congregational Meeting this past Sunday. Much thanks to our Moderator Susan and our Stewardship Co-Chair Rev. Alan Kelchner, we are moving into 2021 with a clear and manageable financial plan in place.

Our Blue Christmas service is this Wednesday evening at 6pm. You will receive a separate invitation with a link enclosed.

All in person events have been cancelled including Taize, drive though Nativity and the hopes for in person Christmas eve gathering. We are working on a sweet online offering for Christmas eve that will go live at 6pm. Look forward to seeing some familiar and new faces.

There will be no posted sermon the week of Christmas, join us for our Zoom liturgies on Sunday the 27th at 9 or 11am. Those gatherings will include a brief homily and opportunities to reflect on the work of Christmas.

Wisdom Seekers will meet Thursday from 2-3:30. With only one gathering in January on the 14th.

Looking forward to January plans?
Wednesday’s from 3-4pm in January
Based on Patricia Ryan Madson’s book “Improv Wisdom,” acclaimed actor and improvisation artist (also church member) Rev. Anne Hoffmann will lead a four-part series designed to tickle your funny bone and encourage us to have more joy! For more information contact Anne directly; Anne Hoffmann revannelouise@gmail.com

Tuesday’s at noon January-February beginning January 12th we will be exploring Isabel Wilkerson’s compelling book “Caste; the origins of our discontent.” Participants must order the book ahead of time on their own (Reader’s has it in stock) and keep up with the reading prior to each discussion. Curran will facilitate this group.

Links for both groups will be forthcoming.

Take it slow and be good to yourselves, hope is on the way.

Curran
