Taize is Back!

Mark your calendars.

TAIZE SINGERS

There will be a rehearsal this coming Wednesday, September 12 at 7pm in the church sanctuary for instrumentalists, cantors (soloists) and choir members for next Friday’s Taize service. If you would like to be in the Taize “choir,” come to the practice on Wednesday, September 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

I am very excited about showing you a new very powerful chant (JESUS CHRIST YESTERDAY TODAY AND FOREVER). The congregation’s part is very simple but the choir and instrumentalists have more complicated parts that involve 3 different SATB harmonizations that build in a very powerful way!

If you could let me know you are coming to Wednesday’s rehearsal and/or Friday’s service that would be a big help in making sure I have the right music for everyone! ~ Jim McFadden

You will enjoy meditation, chanting, prayer, and reflective readings. We know that many will look forward to this new offering (every 2nd Friday of the month). Come and join in this lovely way to end our week. Newcomers and experienced in Taize Prayer…all are welcome. Please share this news with your friends. Learn more about Taize at www.taize.fr/en.

8:30 a.m. Quiet Reflective Service

November 18, 2018
08:30 AM / 09:30 AM

The early morning service (a more contemplative tone) continues!! But we have changed the time from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.  The liturgy for the 8:30 a.m. service will be similar to the 10:30 a.m. celebration with the same sermon and texts, and Communion on the first Sunday of the month. The 8:30 a.m. service will not have musicians, except on rare occasion, with longer spaces for silence and reflection built into the flow of the service. There will not be Fellowship Time afterwards unless that evolves on its own.
